​When Gavin was cast as "Murray Slaughter" he knew something great was about to occur.​



He was thrilled for the opportunity to work with Mary Tyler Moore and enjoyed being apart of such a wonderful cast of characters who had spunk and heart.

It is no wonder The Mary Tyler Moore Show​​ ran on-top for CBS for seven years and won three Emmy's for Outstanding Comedy Series in'75, '76, and the shows final season in '77.
